Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga anime revealed the first key visual and trailer, as well as October 2024 premiere date. The announcement was made at Anime Expo 2024, studio VOLN will be returning to animate. The trailer features the opening song “RE RESCUE” by Reol.
In addition, they also announced that the 3rd part will begin in January 2025, titled Blue Exorcist: Blue Night Saga. Crunchyroll will stream the anime.
Studio VOLN animated the Shimane Illuminati Saga, with Daisuke Yoshida as the director. The anime ran for 12 episodes from January 6 to March 23. The new sequel was announced immediately after the finale.
Blue Exorcist anime is based on a manga by Kazue Katou. It started serialization in Jump Square magazine in 2009. The first anime season aired in Spring 2011, but it featured an anime original final arc (episodes 16-25). In 2012, a Blue Exorcist movie was released. The second season was titled Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga and aired in Winter 2017. It ignored the anime-only arc from the prequel and continued to adapt the manga’s storyline. There is also a side-story titled Blue Exorcist: Kuro’s Trip Away From Home, as well as 2 OVA episodes from season 2. A-1 Pictures animated the whole adaptation. The main cast includes:

- Jun Fukuyama as Yukio Okumura
- Kana Hanazawa as Shiemi Moriyama
- Eri Kitamura as Izumo Kamiki
